Responsibilities:

The Data Visualization Analyst will implement data visualizations (e.g. charts, graphs, maps, cartograms) that support our storytelling. This role will build solutions that may appear on the web or on broadcast (using web technologies). Looking for someone with a passion to implement datasets and maps.

Qualifications:

• Must have recent experience with D3


• TopoJSON, GeoJSON experience required


• Adept at implementing responsive designs using HTML and a CSS preprocessor (SASS, PostCSS, LESS)


• Acquiring and analyzing geospatial data for building maps


• Familiar with using cloud services and APIs to store and analyze data


• Comfortable collecting, parsing, and wrangling data

This role has the option of working from home but may require on-site work at any moment. Must be comfortable commuting to downtown New York City as needed.
