Our growing company is looking for a Controller to join our team. The Controller should be able to successfully complete their tasks and are responsible for the financial and accounting functions (link removed) The Controller is responsible for maximizing financial assets by establishing policies, procedures, controls and reporting systems to maintain the organizations financial stability. The position is also responsible for managing the accuracy and productivity of day to day activities of account receivable, accounts payable, cash disbursements, invoicing/billing and providing financial analysis to assist in evaluating the organizations ventures and financial sustainability.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Management: Oversee all financial operations including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
Accounting: Manage the general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll functions.
Compliance: Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local financial regulations.
Internal Controls: Develop and maintain internal control policies and procedures to safeguard company assets.
Financial Analysis: Conduct financial analysis to support business decisions and strategic planning.
Audit: Coordinate and manage internal and external audits.
Team Leadership: Supervise and mentor accounting staff, providing guidance and support to ensure high performance.
Software Utilization: Proficiently use Netchex for payroll and DealerTrack DMS for dealership management.
Supervision: Oversee financial operations including AP/AR, job cost accounting, payroll, and cash.
Accounts Receivable: Oversee the timely and accurate preparation of accounts receivable progress billings, review aging reports, and assist with collections.
Vendor Payments: Supervise the payment process to vendors and subcontractors, ensuring lien waivers are properly collected.
Cash Management: Monitor daily cash balances to ensure requirements are met.
Payroll: Review and monitor the preparation of weekly payroll.
IT Management: Manage IT-related issues.
Financial Statements: Prepare and review monthly financial statements.
Budgeting: Achieve budget objectives by scheduling expenditures and coordinating the preparation of the budget.
Insurance and Benefits: Review and procure business and health insurance programs, maintain insurance/risk protection programs, and assist in the development and administration of the 401(k) plan and other employee benefits.
Strategic Planning: Participate in ongoing strategic planning with the leadership team, perform due diligence, and create projections with different scenarios on growth opportunities.
Collaboration: Work with the Operations Manager and Senior Management to ensure financial directives are followed.
Forecasting: Prepare the annual financial budget and update forecasts on a quarterly basis.

Netchex: Payroll and human resources management.
DealerTrack DMS: Dealership management system for accounting, sales, and inventory management.
Ring Central: Communication and collaboration platform.
Drive Centric: Customer relationship management (CRM) software.
Scan123: Document management system.
Employee Navigator: Benefits administration and HR software.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

Supervision/Oversee financial operations including AP/AR, job cost accounting,
payroll and cash

Oversee the timely and accurate preparation accounts receivable progress billings

Review accounts receivable, aging reports and assist with direct reports for
collections

Supervise the payment process to vendors and subcontractors and confirm lien
waivers are properly collected

Monitor daily cash balances to ensure requirements are met

EXPERIENCE NEEDED:

Advanced degree in Accounting

Construction Industry Accounting experience is strongly preferred

Attention to detail

Primary responsibilities

Lead the accounting team in accounting functions and procedures.
Promote best practices & internal controls for the dealership.
Review for compliance with governmental regulations and company policies
Train and mentor accounting staff
Support GM and executive team by performing special projects in accounting
Prepare and review monthly financial statements timely
Review payroll and related tax files
Prepare tax returns
Review and keep the dealerships schedules clean
Monitor cash and floorplan
Prepare year-end package for review
Required Experience
Bachelors degree in Finance,Accounting or related discipline required; MBA or CPA a plus
Senior financial leadership role in the automotive industry a plus
Strong technical skills in accounting
Ability to lead and build strong dealership accounting teams
Experience in mentoring staff effectively
Ability to multitask in a fast paced team environment
Professional appearance with a strong work ethic
Must be proficient in excel
Well organized
Outstanding written and oral communication skills.
Understands and complies with federal, state and local regulations
Valid and clean GA drivers license
Able to pass pre-employment and drug screening
Experience in Dealertrak, CDK or other DMS Softwares.
Quickbooks Experience is required.
Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $85,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
