Project Details:Role:Project Manager - Microsoft Power Platform & IT ModernizationLocation:RemoteDuration:6+ months/longtermType:ContractInterview Criteria: Telephonic + Skype Job Description: The Project Manager is responsible for the overall planning, coordination, and execution of IT modernization projects with a strong focus on cloud-based solutions such as Microsoft Power Platform. This role ensures that the project meets the defined objectives within the agreed timeline and budget. The Project Manager acts as the primary point of contact between the client and the development team, managing risks, resources, and stakeholder communication. The Project Manager will oversee the entire process, from requirements gathering to system deployment, with a strong emphasis on data migration from legacy systems, compliance with federal standards, and the use of Agile methodologies to ensure iterative development and stakeholder involvement. Responsibilities: Develop and manage the project plan, timelines, and deliverables specific to Microsoft Power Apps, Dataverse, and other cloud-based technologies. Lead the data migration effort from legacy platforms like ColdFusion to modern cloud environments, ensuring data integrity throughout the process. Coordinate with all stakeholders, including clients and subcontractors, ensuring smooth collaboration and communication. Oversee the technical development process, ensuring adherence to the Agile methodology, with a focus on delivering in sprints for faster feedback loops. Manage the project team, assign tasks, and resolve technical issues, ensuring alignment with the projects overall objectives, especially for Power Apps development, Power Automate workflows, and Power BI reporting. Conduct project status meetings, track progress, and provide regular reports to stakeholders. Ensure the project meets all compliance requirements (e.g., FISMA, NIST, Section 508), with a particular focus on security, data privacy, and accessibility standards. Lead the User Acceptance Testing (UAT) process, ensuring the system aligns with user expectations and compliance standards, and deliver a successful system Go-Live. Provide input on technical solutions, risk mitigation strategies, and development timelines, focusing on scalability, security, and performance of the solution on Microsoft Power Platform. Technical Domain Experience: Microsoft Power Platform: In-depth experience with Microsoft Power Apps, Dataverse, Power Automate, and Power BI for developing low-code/no-code solutions. Data Migration: Extensive experience overseeing data migration projects, specifically from legacy systems (like ColdFusion) to modern cloud platforms such as Microsoft Dataverse, ensuring minimal disruption and high data integrity. Compliance Standards: Strong knowledge of security and compliance standards, such as FISMA, NIST, and Section 508, to ensure that all solutions adhere to government requirements for security and accessibility. Agile Methodology: Expertise in managing Agile development cycles, including sprint planning, backlog prioritization, and iterative feedback, ensuring continuous improvement and timely delivery. Qualifications: Proven experience managing large-scale IT modernization projects with a focus on Microsoft Power Platform and cloud-based solutions. Strong knowledge of Agile methodologies and project management tools (e.g., Jira, MS Project Experience with data migration from legacy systems to cloud platforms. Demonstrated ability to lead projects in compliance with FISMA, NIST, and Section 508. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, ensuring clear reporting and coordination across project teams.
