Eastern Florida State College is currently seeking applications for the full-time position of Technical Support Coordinator on the Melbourne Campus in Melbourne, Florida.
Work closely with the Technical Support Manager to provide support to the assigned campus and assist with district wide activities. This position will also work closely with all IT staff.
The following minimum qualifications for this position must be met before any applicant will be considered:
Associate degree from a regionally accredited institution and 2 years experience. OR High School diploma or GED and industry certifications with 4 years experience in similar technical support position. Required knowledge of the capabilities of computer hardware, software, and operating systems; and the hardware, software, and peripheral equipment troubleshooting techniques. Skill in maintaining work related information and materials as well as establishing and maintaining productive working relationships. Effectively using interpersonal and communications skills in providing leadership while prioritizing multiple tasks, projects, and demands. Valid Florida Motor Vehicle Operators license required. For individuals unable to obtain a drivers license, a valid Florida ID is required. Employees and/or volunteers unable to obtain a Florida drivers license, will not be allowed to drive any college vehicle, golf cart or any other motorized vehicle on college property. This position will require successful fingerprinting and substance screening. The candidate chosen will be required to pay the associated fees (currently $37.25/$62.16). The fingerprinting and substance screening fees ($37.25/$62.16) are non-refundable. Understanding of and commitment to Equal Access/Equal Opportunity. *High School Diploma or GED or transcripts or official transcripts of all collegiate work (as appropriate for the position) must be sent directly from the attended institution to the Human Resources Office prior to the first day of employment. Minimum physical qualifications:
Ability to communicate both orally and in writing. Ability to occasionally lift, push, pull and/or move up to 40 pounds. Ability to access input and retrieve information and/or data from a computer. Works inside in an office environment. Works in or with moving vehicles and/or equipment. Works in noisy conditions.
The annual salary is $51,615. Successful internal candidates for external job postings should be aware that their current salary does not transfer to the new position. Salary will be as advertised in the job announcement. Full-time employees of Eastern Florida State College receive fringe benefits including health insurance and a retirement plan.
