Adient US LLC seeks Lead Engineer at its facility located at 49200 Halyard Dr, Plymouth, MI 48170. Responsible for leading project. Complete responsibility for all aspects of the successful design, development, testing validation and support of manufacturing launch for product/project. Provide front-line customer engineering interface for product/project. Responsible for leading the design and processes for a specific project, program or product line to meet current and future needs. Support technical leadership. Develop the technical skills and knowledge and provides technical direction of the engineers and designers on the team. Develop and provides resolution to customer technical issues through the CBU/PBU chief engineer or engineering manager. Support core members of the SDT. Provide and support project direction to designers, engineers and support personnel. Provide solutions to meet all technical and project issues and works with team to ensure time and cost objectives are met. Understand and identify the resource requirements to meet program/product objectives. Implement and facilitate the use of best practices in engineering. Supports the program/product engineering budget. Capable of communicating effectively with management. Supports change, is disciplined to process, follows BOS, is able to coach, has strong communications skills. Demonstrate strength and drive to achieve project objectives, involves in critical tasks, make timely decision and elevates as appropriate. Telecommuting permitted 2 days a week. 10-20% Travel, Domestic and International. REQS: This position requires a Bachelor’s, degree, or foreign equivalent, in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field plus 5 years of experience as a seating engineer or a related occupation. Additionally, the applicant must have employment experience with: (1) Catia v5 Solid Modeling; (2) Teamcenter PLM; (3) Customer interface; and (4) Complete Seat Systems or components.
