Senior AI Engineer (The Boston Consulting Group, Inc. – Boston, MA) - Apply leading software development and information management practices and standards to support the development of robust and maintainable analytics-based software solutions in support of BCG X’s analytics clients and platform. Specific duties include: develop abstract analytic models to solve complex problems for decision analysis; design data structures and visualization of results to provide users actionable intelligence and situational awareness of supporting data; optimize and enhance computational efficiency of algorithms and software design; bring leading edge machine learning models into production together with a highly multi-disciplinary team of scientists, engineers, strategic partners, and subject domain experts; communicate technical design verbally and in written form; and interact directly with clients on new features for future product releases. Requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Applied Mathematics (including Economics and Statistics), or a related field (willing to accept foreign education equivalent) plus two (2) years of experience as a Software Engineer or related position performing analytics-based software development. Specific skills/other requirements - Must also possess the following (quantitative experience requirements not applicable to this section): (i) performing analytic software programming using Python and at least one of the following: C++, Scala, Java, JavaScript, GO, and/or TypeScript; (ii) optimizing and enhancing computational efficiency of algorithms and software design; (iii) solving complex analytics problems involving mathematical programming and big data; (iv) performing storage, manipulation, and management of relational, non-relational, and streaming data structures; (v) utilizing infrastructure as code principles; (vi) building data science and machine learning based software systems, tools, and services using at least two of the following frameworks: TensorFlow, Keras, PyTorch, Caffe, MxNet, Pandas, and/or Scikit; (vii) supporting quality control and performance testing in multiple languages, including at least two of the following: Python, R, Spark, Hadoop, and/or SQL; (viii) performing DevOps using at least one of the following: Docker, Kubemetes, CI/CD, Terraform, and/or UNIX-based command line; and (ix) utilizing cloud-based technologies including at least one of the following: AWS, Azure, or Google.
