Chemist / Manufacturing Quality Testing



Salary $65,000 - $85,000 + Excellent Benefits + Paid Relocation Package USA Midwest



Metals manufacturer is looking for a Chemist who has experience in a manufacturing facility testing raw materials, goods during the manufacturing process, and finished goods to ensure they comply with quality standards. Youll use a variety of lab testing equipment & work with multiple departments in the facility. This is an awesome opportunity to use your BS Chemistry degree & experience or internship.



As the Chemist this manufacturing facility, your responsibilities will include:


Analyze raw & finished goods for quality specs


Use internal quality control practices to ensure conformity of products.


Focus on the chemical processing and testing procedures using various computerized instruments or wet/gravimetric techniques


Ensure that all lab equipment is maintained and operating optimally


Comply with environmental, EPA, O SHA regulations


Maintain accurate and complete records of work results and activities


Provide technical support to HSE group on product MSDS and the Supply Chain group for raw material sourcing


Use some/all of the following equipment: X-Ray (XRF) & (XRD), Gas Chromatography, ICP, ISE, Spark Optical Emission Spectroscopy, TGA.



Requirements for this Chemist position:


Bachelors degree in Chemistry, Metallurgy, or similar degree


At least 2 years experience manufacturing chemical laboratory environment (internships count.
