MUST BE WILLING TO WORK IN CHICAGO
Well established (non union) commercial painting company servicing the Chicagoland area for 40 years. Work locations include Greater Chicagoland city, suburbs, southeast Wisconsin and northwest Indiana. Must be willing to travel to Chicagoland area jobsites in own personal vehicle.
Seeking experienced apprentice and lead painters dedicated to their trade with excellent craftsmanship and an outstanding work ethic is required. Apprentice minimum 1-3 years experience and Journeyman painter 5 years + experience. Being on time is a MUST. Will train the right person possessing a good work ethic, basic skills with a willingness to learn. Must have own basic tools.
Willingness to work as part of a team and on your own is expected. The ideal candidate will be capable of taking direction and criticism, be willing to learn and work well with others.
High school or GED equivalent preferred.
Any certifications: OSHA 10, OSHA 30, aerial lift, etc. preferred but not required.
Must provide driver's license and proof of social security number.
Brush, roll, and spray paint all types of surfaces, both interior and exterior. Helpful skills and experience include: working with sprayers, patching, drywall taping, patching and repair, skim coating, wallpaper removal, wallpaper hanging, staining and faux finishing.
Able to safely ascend/descend ladders, stairs, scaffolding, and lifts.
Job site clean-up and maintenance
Adhere to all company safety policies
Able to follow instructions and pre-established guidelines
Able to frequently and safely lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 lbs.
Able to safely use all required hand and power tools
Works under immediate supervision
