Senior Programmer Analyst (Cedars-Sinai Medical Center; Los Angeles, CA): Analyze, design, and build web applications using standard application design patterns and systematic approaches to application integration. Develop applications that support business objectives while providing expertise in all phases of the software development lifecycle: conception, design, testing, production, and maintenance. Develop responsive web interfaces. Build reusable software code and libraries for future use. Ensure the technical feasibility of user interface (UI)/user experience (UX) designs. Optimize front-end software code for performance and scalability. Perform automated and manual testing for accessibility, performance, and cross-browser compatibility. Support back-end integrators and QA analysts with the testing and deployment of code to production environments. Work with designers to create pixel-perfect representations of visual compositions. Work with stakeholders and architects to deliver critical functionality to users. Function as the single point of contact to a cross-functional team for various managed applications. Work with inter-departmental teams to analyze and understand business requirements. Provide technical expertise during the requirements-gathering phase of a project. Accurately document new requirements, enhancements to existing functionality, and implementation deficiencies that need to be addressed. Develop functionality based on requirements by following internal development standards (detailed design documentation, code, configuration, and other supporting technical documents). Perform unit, regression, connectivity, and full end-to-end integration tests when applicable. Support quality assurance efforts to gain user acceptance. Work collaboratively with inter-departmental and cross-departmental resources to migrate new or enhanced functionality from test to production. Follow change control standards and processes for release to production. Function as a liaison with end users, research groups, and other business support areas. Lead the design and development of web applications and services that run on cloud platforms. Use Git to control code management lifecycle to ensure the quality and accuracy of the codebase. Facilitate design and technical meetings. Provide technical documentation to internal business and design teams. Provide systems support during special events such as mission-critical system upgrades, integration platform upgrades, new application go-lives, application failover exercises, and disaster recovery drills. Implement enterprise policies for security and confidentiality at the system and inter-system level. Stay abreast of design trends, technologies, and standard methodologies. Provide effective communication across the team. Telecommuting permitted from within the U.S.

Minimum requirements: Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related field, plus three (3) years of experience as a Programmer Analyst, Software Developer, Software Engineer, or related occupation.

Must have experience with the following: developing critical, large-scale customer-facing web applications and sites with high volume and high reliability requirements; User Interface (UI) development proficiencies (HyperText Markup Language (HTML), HTML5, Cascading Style Sheets (CSS), CSS3, Sassy Cascading Style Sheets (SCSS), and JavaScript); custom JavaScript coding using client-side libraries and frameworks (jQuery, React, and/or Angular); component based web architecture (Storybook for developing reusable components); developing components within Content Management Systems (Adobe AEM); form validation and data handling; asynchronous request handling, partial page updates, and AJAX; front-end build tools: Grunt/Gulp, Webpack, and Node; version control software (Git) and peer code review process; web accessibility using Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG), Section 508, and Web Accessibility Initiative – Accessible Rich Internet Applications (WAI-ARIA) standards; cross-platform, cross-device, and cross-browser testing; and UI Frameworks and RAD/Agile methods.

Salary: $109,928 – $166,129 per year
