Business Analyst

Oakland, CA - Must be onsite 1 day per week

6-month contract

Duties and Responsibilities

Exceptional ability to engage with executives and diverse internal stakeholders, technical team and adapting messages to suit varying levels of analytical proficiency.

Proven experience in data management, data assessment and data governance, ensuring high standards of data quality.

Advanced analytical and quantitative skills to analyze large, complex data sets, identifying patterns to drive data improvements specially for System Integrations

Regularly update the Tactical Implementation Plan (TIP) with clear leadership status reports on timelines and deliverables presented at the IT Delivery Center.

Serve as a consulting resource for business partners and the analyst community, applying best practices in data interpretation and its implications for business strategy and operations.

Create and manage complex dashboards using data insights to deliver comprehensive findings through effective visualizations.

Demonstrate foresight by anticipating potential challenges and understanding the broader business strategy.

Skilled in SQL for data analysis, validation, and preparation.

Familiarity with SAP Time Report Tracking, supply planning, and demand forecasting.

Experience in setting up tool access within enterprise systems (e.g., My Electronic Access).

Hands-on experience in creating Business Requirement Documents (BRD), Functional Process Flows, and collaborating with our IT/Business Partners for User Acceptance Testing (UAT).

Strong communication and collaboration skills with onsite & offshore technical teams and clients to ensure project alignment and success.

Required Experience/Skills

Proficient in Microsoft Office, Visio, PowerPoint and expert level Excel skills

Experience with structuring contract agreements

Experience with basic financial modeling or data management

Experience with presenting to leadership and developing power point slides

Experience with Power BI a plus

Education

BA/BS in Computer Science, Business, or job-related discipline or equivalent experience

4 years of general business experience

Pay Summary

Up to $37/hr W2 depending on experience
