Employer: The U.S. Pharmacopeial Convention Job Title: Senior Machine Learning Engineer (Multiple Openings) Job Code: #SMLE/20421.52.4. Job Location: 12601 Twinbrook Parkway, Rockville, MD, 20852 Job Type: Full Time Duties: Design and develop structured, vectorized Python code that leverages best practice coding methodologies. Lead efforts to source, import, and integrate new supply chain data into the Medicine Supply Map. Perform exploratory data analysis, test working hypotheses, and uncover relationships within the Medicine Supply Map. Build, maintain, and support existing machine learning models as well as develop techniques for evaluating model performance. Collaborate with other technical team members to create requirements, support development, and resolve technical issues. Partner with IT to drive functionality enhancements to existing platforms. Design and build compelling data visualizations, dashboards, and reports for internal and external stakeholders. Present and communicate insights to internal and external stakeholders. Set and manage internal and external partner expectations related to specific deliverables. Telecommuting benefits available. Requirements: Employer will accept a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Health Informatics, or related field and 48 months of experience in job offered or in a Machine Learning Engineer-related occupation. Position requires 48 months of experience in the following: 1) Pharmaceutical supply chain data; 2) Descriptive and inferential statistics; 3) Writing scalable, productionable Python code; 4) Project management; 5) Implementing large-scale data science projects including defining requirements and presenting findings to internal/external stakeholders; 6) Sourcing and integrating data into tech stack; 7) Analyzing downstream modeling implications to build visualizations; 8) Implementing appropriate algorithms, developing model and validation and interpreting model output; 9) AWS cloud platform and version control software; 10) Matplotlib and Seaborn; and 11) Statistical analysis in hypothesis testing and research design.
Alternatively, the employer will accept a Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Health Informatics or related field and 24 months of experience in job offered or in a Machine Learning Engineer-related occupation.
