Job description:
The Digital Press Operator uses digital printing machines and software programs to produce the printed piece. They load the digital press with paper and adjust the program to run the job according to the specs.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

Abilities and Skills:

Computer literate
Knowledge of digital printing press technology
Understanding of digital printing press operations
Attention to detail
Ability to work long hours while standing

Position Responsibilities:

Receive orders and set up press by loading proper paper and materials
Previous experience as a digital press operator is a must
Maintain quality assurance of order as it is printing
Perform daily start-up and ink-up procedures.
Make press ready to print orders
Produce proof copy, inspect proof, and compare it to sample provided or customer approved proof
Clean, lubricate, and maintain equipment in optimum operating condition
Operate press, following safety procedures and job specifications

Other duties as required Experience:

Excellent verbal and written communication skills Digital Press Operation (preferred)
Good understanding of copier functions and bindery processes
Working knowledge of paper, envelopes, and card stocks used in the printing process

Education:

High Diploma or General Education Degree (GED).

Other Requirements:

Valid Drivers License
18+ years old
Ability to pass criminal background check and drug screening

Other Physical Requirements:

Must be able to handle manual dexterity required for occasional reaching and lifting of 30+ lb objects, and operating office equipment.

Pay: $18.00 - $21.00 per hour
