As the Accessibility Consultant, you will provide subject-matter expertise to projects and otherinitiatives on inclusive and accessible content planning, creation, and maintenance for theAccessibility team. In this role, you will collaborate with project teams, technical project managers,designers, and developers to guide them and help streamline the internal accessibility auditingprocess. You will conduct routine reviews throughout the project workflow and makerecommendations for the best approach based on content models and accessibility standards.Responsibilities: Review completed audits and assist in triaging them to the appropriate stakeholders. Identify and clearly document remediation recommendations for audit issues. Demonstrate proficiency with software tools (NVDA, JAWS, Voiceover, TalkBack, ColourContrast Analyzer, Magnifier) Set up and run automated scans using aXe Monitor. Be familiar with the GitHub platform. May answer developer, designer, and content contributor questions about accessibilityrequirements. Be comfortable scheduling meetings to discuss accessibility solutions with project teams.Qualifications: Minimum of 2 years of experience in professional digital accessibility testing. Experience evaluating digital content for WCAG 2.0/2.1 A/AA conformance. Intermediate to advanced skill level and accessibility testing experience with the followingscreen readers:o NVDAo JAWSo Voiceover and TalkBack Experience coding accessible web pages using HTML and CSS. Experience testing native mobile apps for accessibility. Can write accessibility recommendations for remediation.Non-Technical Skills: Good problem solving and analytical skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Share best practices and lessons learned from past implementation efforts. The flexibility to work outside of normal working hours to meet deadlines.Preferred Qualifications: Experience with bug or ticket management software experience would be helpful.
