Accounts Payable Specialist

As an Accounts Payable Specialist, you will be responsible for managing financial obligations across a portfolio of properties.
This in-office role, located at our newly renovated corporate office in the Southtowns, requires a keen eye for detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with various departments.
Responsibilities:
Accurately process vendor invoices, ensuring proper coding, approval, and compliance with company policies. Reconcile vendor statements, address discrepancies, and maintain effective communication with vendors to resolve any issues promptly. Prepare and process payments via check, ACH, or online platforms, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. Maintain organized and up-to-date accounts payable records, including filing and archiving invoices and payment documentation. Assist with month-end closing activities, including accruals, reconciliations, and analyzing accounts payable aging. Work closely with property management, procurement, and accounting teams to streamline processes and resolve payment-related inquiries. Stay informed about changes in accounting regulations and best practices related to accounts payable processes. Required Qualifications:
Previous experience in a high-volume accounts payable department is preferred. Strong attention to detail, ability to multitask, and proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel. Experience with MRI and Nexus systems is a plus. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. High school diploma required. Benefits:
