Director UI/UX Designer - Copilot, Choreograph LLC, New York, NY. Design workflows and interfaces that make machine-learning technology accessible and efficient. Create an interface that behaves as users would expect it to and facilitate a seamless and efficient user experience. Uphold the aesthetic direction and design language for the product. Ensure visual and design consistency across all new features. Work alongside product managers and engineers to translate business needs into wireframes, flows, and UI mocks. Prototype and iterate designs on whiteboards, walls, paper, or wherever else is effective at turning ideas into code that ships. Oversee Creative vision and strategy for Copilot as well as other platforms under his remit. Work cross collaboratively across a matrixed organization with other leaders in creative and UX design. Manage day to day operations of the UX department and team, conduct performance reviews, hire new designers and creative people, work with leadership to make sure team roles and members align with larger team organization, this includes budgeting for new roles as the team expands. Oversee freelance UX design and creative talent, manage consultant budget, manage user experience panel of users, maintain recruitment programs for UX panel, design user test plan, and conduct research. Contribute to higher level executive decisions on creative direction within Copilot and GroupM Nexus. Contribute thought leadership on a regular basis in UX Design and research. Mentor designers and other creative team members.

40 hrs/week, Mon-Fri, 8:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m. Salary: $128,253/yr.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Master’s degree, or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science, Web Development, Human-Computer Interaction, Mobile Computing, Interactive Telecommunications, Software Engineering, or related field and one (1) year of related work experience.

Must have one (1) year of experience with/in:

• UX or interaction design;
• Data visualization design in a highly quantitative environment;
• Portfolio URL demonstrating visual and interaction design;
• Front-end programming such as CSS, JavaScript, React or Semantic UI; and
• Managing at least one creative designer in a direct or matrixed capacity.

Telecommuting is permitted up to two (2) days per week.
