RCS Staffing has an immediate need for a Civil Estimator in Blacksburg, SC(link removed) This is a Full Time, Direct Hire, Field position with our client.

Overview of YOUR role as a Civil Estimator:
As the Civil Estimator it is your primary responsibility to bid on projects, assess project budgets, and work closely with management to determine how best to pursue the project. The Civil Estimator reports directly to the Construction Manager.

As a Civil Estimator YOU will:

• Acquire job details and specifications from the client to begin the bidding process.
• Adding bid documents to the server and to the WIP.
• As needed, visit the potential job location to better understand the scope of the project.
• Communicate with the estimating team on items such as project focus, task to complete, due dates, and project schedules.
• Plan meetings with management team on bid reviews and upcoming projects that are awarded.
• Perform takeoff of project clearing areas, construction materials, erosion control measures, earthwork dirt quantities, etc. with the use of Carlson AutoCAD software or Agtek.
• Create budgets in HCSS HeavyBid.
• Review compiled budget with project team and draft a formal proposal to submit to client.
• Submit the bid to the client and follow-up on outstanding bids.
• Upon bid award, review HeavyBid budget and make any necessary changes.
• Export final HeavyBid job over to HCSS HeavyJob for our project team to invoice/track project.
• Update the Pre-Con showing the new job and communicate the new job to the team.
• Create all change orders in HeavyBid/HeavyJob when needed.
• Keep all HCSS programs up to date with the latest firmware.
• Keep HCSS HeavyBid updated with labor and equipment rates as the management team puts out new rates.

• Full project oversight.
• Experience in HCSS HeavyBid.
• Experience in Project scheduling.
• Ability to travel and visit job sites.
• Flexibility to adapt to changes and plan adequately to prepare for them.
