Job Title: Sales Account Manager


Location: Troy, MI



Position Responsibilities



  • Execute sales activities for exterior trim products to various OEMs and automotive parts suppliers.

  • Lead the sales process for various products, set the schedule for the RFQ and quotations and gather all information required for quotation.

  • Negotiate pricing with each customer's Purchasing personnel based on submitted quotations, data, and logic.

  • Develop and execute short and long-term sales plans based on gathered account data/information, considering product, customer, and market conditions.

  • Support Company cross-functional teams in their daily activities and drive issues to closure consistently.

  • Responsibly plan yearly/monthly business activities within established budget constraints by defining the targets/tasks/expected results.

  • Prioritize the daily work according to Company policies by timely consulting with the management.

  • Operate with a "cross-functional" approach and accordingly accept/assume new responsibilities as dictated by the business environment.

  • Function as a key person to compile/summarize/analyze necessary data and develop summary and status documents/materials for products you support.



Required Skills and Abilities


Essential Skills and Experience:



  • 5 years of Automotive component sales experience into OEM level.

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Applied Science or Business.

  • Proven critical thinking skills and data-driven decision-making.

  • Familiarity with OEM purchasing procedures and systems.

  • Strong organization skills (e.g. issue prioritization, time management, consistent and diligent record-keeping, etc.).

  • Strong written and verbal technical communication skills including experience working with non-native English speakers.

  • Computer literacy expertise (MS Word, MS Excel, PowerPoint).

  • Global mindset to work with counterparts and Japan.



Beneficial Skills and Experience:



  • Must show initiative and anticipate customer requests and offer potential solutions.

  • Project Management experience and prior use of MS Project.
