Document Preparation:
Transcribe and type medical reports, such as patient histories, diagnostic test results, discharge summaries, and operative reports, from dictated or handwritten notes. Prepare correspondence, forms, and other documents as required by medical staff. Ensure that all typed documents are accurate, complete, and formatted according to hospital standards. Data Management:
Enter and update patient information into the hospitals electronic medical record (EMR) system. Maintain organized and up-to-date files of all typed reports and documents. Ensure confidentiality and security of all patient and hospital records. Communication:
Collaborate with doctors, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to clarify unclear dictations or handwritten notes. Respond to inquiries from medical staff regarding the status of report typing and document preparation. Quality Control:
Proofread and edit typed documents to ensure accuracy in spelling, grammar, and medical terminology. Correct any errors identified in typed reports or documents before final submission. Follow hospital protocols for document formatting and submission. Administrative Support:
Provide general clerical support, such as photocopying, scanning, and filing documents. Assist with other administrative tasks as needed, including scheduling appointments and managing correspondence.
