Job Overview
Company Group is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Purchase Manager to join our team. As a Purchase Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all purchasing activities within the manufacturing industry. This role requires a strong understanding of procurement processes, supplier management, and inventory control. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 7 to 10 years of senior-level experience in purchasing, preferably in the manufacturing industry. This is a full-time position based in Surat, Gujarat, India.
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Purchase Manager in the manufacturing industry, with a minimum of 7 to 10 years of senior-level experience.
- Strong knowledge of procurement processes, supplier management, and inventory control.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers.
- Proficiency in using procurement software and MS Office applications.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
- Strong leadership skills and the ability to effectively manage a team.
- Knowledge of industry regulations and compliance.
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Develop and implement purchasing strategies to optimize cost savings and improve efficiency in the manufacturing industry.
- Identify and evaluate potential suppliers, negotiate contracts, and establish strong relationships.
- Monitor supplier performance, ensure timely delivery of quality products/materials, and resolve any supplier-related issues.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment of purchasing activities with production and inventory needs.
- Manage inventory levels, forecast demand, and maintain accurate records of stock and purchases.
- Implement and maintain procurement policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with company standards.
- Analyze market trends, research new products, and identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Stay updated on industry best practices and technological advancements in procurement.
- Lead a team of procurement professionals, providing guidance, training, and performance management.
