About the Opportunity

Launchpad Liquidation, a premier forklift and material handling equipment liquidation company, is dedicated to delivering top-condition pre-owned equipment to new owners. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Independent Contractor to join our team as a Senior Mechanic. In this role, you will be instrumental in ensuring our equipment functions flawlessly before it reaches its new home.

Responsibilities

Lead and oversee the inspection, maintenance, and repair of complex forklifts and material handling equipment.

Develop and implement preventative maintenance schedules based on manufacturer guidelines and industry best practices.

Independently diagnose and troubleshoot complex mechanical issues to perform efficient and comprehensive repairs.

Manage parts inventory and source replacement parts as needed.

Train and mentor junior mechanics (if applicable).

Ensure a clean, organized, and safe work environment.

Maintain meticulous documentation of repairs and maintenance procedures.

Strictly adhere to all safety protocols and regulations.

Qualifications

Minimum 5 years of experience as a mechanic in a workshop environment, with a proven track record of working on forklifts and material handling equipment.

Demonstrated expertise in troubleshooting and repairing complex mechanical problems.

In-depth knowledge of hydraulic systems, electrical systems, and internal combustion engines.

Proficiency in using advanced diagnostic tools and a wide range of hand tools.

Ability to lift heavy equipment (up to 100 lbs).

Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to delivering top-quality work.

Strong leadership skills, excellent communication, and the ability to motivate others.

Time management skills and the ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with the team.

Reliable transportation to designated work locations.

Valid driver's license (required).
