On-Site at Naval Medical Center, Quantico, VA

Monday Friday, 40 hours, no OT, No weekends!

You must meet the following qualifications:
Education: HS Diploma or General Education Development (GED) Equivalency; Basic Medical Terminology required.

Experience: At least one year relevant experience or specialized Registered health Information Technician (RHIT) or Registered Health Information Administrator certification required.

This position serves as a medical records technician to process and maintain inpatient, outpatient or ambulatory procedure unit medical records. Required to compile or extract medical records data to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Can type a minimum of 40 wpm is required.
Can use standard office equipment such as computers, typewriters, copiers, fax machines, telephone systems and office automation systems to perform the position.
General medical ethics, telephone etiquette, and excellent communication and customer service skills.
Correct grammar, spelling, punctuation, capitalization, and format to prepare and edit written correspondence, reports or transcribed material.
Knowledge of Military Health Care systems/procedures such as AHLTA, DEERS, CHCS are a plus!
