Position Overview:

Flow is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Web Development Intern to join our engineering organization. This role requires expertise in full-stack web development, with a strong emphasis on both front-end and back-end technologies. The ideal candidate will possess advanced knowledge of Django for back-end development and React.js/Redux for front-end work. Responsibilities include developing, maintaining, and debugging Flow's custom corporate website, managing API development and integration, and ensuring the seamless operation of both the user interface and server-side components.

In addition to Django, you should be proficient in handling API development, including API calls, routes, endpoints, tokens, authorization, and authentication (OAuth2.0). Experience with HTML5, Tailwind CSS, and JavaScript frameworks like React.js, including Hooks and Framer Motion, is required for front-end development. Your role will also involve collaborating on the system architecture and cloud infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance and scalability.

The ideal candidate is a seasoned web developer with a passion for creating efficient, robust, and scalable web systems. You should have a solid background in both front-end and back-end engineering. This position is perfect for those who have already obtained a Masters degree in Computer Science and are looking to apply their skills in a real-world, professional industry environment. This internship is remote-only and requires a commitment of at least 30 hours per week.

Key Responsibilities:

Front-End Development:
Develop, enhance, and maintain the user interface of Flows corporate website using React.js and its ecosystem, including Redux, Hooks, and Framer Motion.
Ensure responsive design and optimal performance across all devices using HTML5 and Tailwind CSS.
Implement interactive UI components that provide a seamless user experience.
Back-End Development:
Design, develop, and maintain server-side logic and databases using Django.
Integrate front-end components with back-end services to ensure a fully functional and dynamic website.
Develop and manage APIs, ensuring smooth data exchange between the front-end and back-end systems.
API Development:
Build and maintain RESTful APIs to support website functionalities and integrations.
Ensure APIs are secure, efficient, and scalable.
Data Handling:
Work with JSON for data exchange between the front-end and back-end systems.
Ensure data integrity and optimal performance when handling large datasets.
Quality Assurance (QA):
Conduct thorough QA testing to ensure the website is bug-free, secure, and performs optimally.
Perform unit testing, integration testing, and end-to-end testing to validate code quality.
Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve website issues promptly.
Collaboration:
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including marketing, design, and content teams to align website functionalities with business goals.
Provide technical guidance and share knowledge with junior developers and interns.
Documentation:
Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation for website architecture, APIs, and codebase.
Ensure all code is well-documented and adheres to best practices.

Qualifications:

Education: Masters Degree in Computer Science (MS in CS) is required.
Experience:
2-3+ years of hands-on experience in Django and React.js/Redux/Hooks/Framer Motion.
Strong proficiency in HTML5, Tailwind CSS, and JavaScript.
Expert-level skills in API development and JSON.
Extensive experience in QA testing, including unit testing, integration testing, and end-to-end testing.
Skills:
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
Deep understanding of web performance optimization and responsive design principles.
