St. Matthew's Episcopal Church is a small church (non-profit) in Bloomington, IL. Our office culture is professional, social, and agile. Our goal in the office is to effectively serve and communicate to our membership and people in the greater Bloomington-Normal community.

Hourly wage of $16-$19 depending on experience and proficiencies is offered for 15-20 hours a week.

The right candidate for office administrator:

• enjoys people and is comfortable with different kinds of personalities.

• values organization, keeps an organized office and is willing to take direction from the priest for optimal results.

• keeps sensitive matters confidential and is trustworthy with their time and energy.

• is detail-oriented and good at editing written documents.

• has experience and fluidity with Microsoft Office 365 and Microsoft Publisher (or is willing to take training where needed).

• is familiar with (and/or not intimidated by) updating social media, editing internet-based software, and updating other electronic media as needed.

• is comfortable with basic, internet-related research.

• Takes initiative when a task list is completed to get instruction or move forward with a previously assigned project.
While not required, having a Christian faith commitment and an understanding of church life is a plus.

The candidate will report directly to the priest/rector of St. Matthew’s Episcopal Church.
