Our client, a large manufacturing company, has an urgent need to hire Electricians - there are ten openings! This company offers market-based hourly pay for this direct hire role, plus overtime opportunities and excellent benefits. (Location is within a 2-hour drive from Chicago. What You'll Do:
- Use your training and experience to work on manufacturing equipment in a manufacturing / industrial environment. (This is not a facilities maintenance role.)
- Overall 8 or more years of relevant experience is required. A journeyman's card is desirable but not required if you have the experience.
- Experience with high, medium, and low voltage (480-, 277-, 120-, down to 24-volt circuitry).
- Work with Allen Bradley (preferred) or similar PLC systems and troubleshoot / program Variable Frequency Drives.
- Troubleshoot electrical systems such as proximity switches, safety circuits, motors, drives, relays, light screens, etc.
- Experience with CNC Machining is highly desirable - Fanuc and Siemens controller expertise is a plus.
- Union environment with competetive pay, shift premiums for 2nd and 3rd shifts.
- Shifts: Most new employees start on 2nd or 3rd shift. (2nd shift: 2PM - 10PM; 3rd shift: 10PM - 6AM)
- Overtime: Expect overtime opportunities on 2 to 3 weekends a month (rotating schedule). with pay rates of 1.5x for Saturdays and 2x for Sundays and holidays.
