Senior Network Systems Engineer

We seek an experienced Senior Network Systems Engineer to join our dynamic IT team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in designing, implementing, and maintaining Windows-based network and system infrastructure. As a Senior Engineer, you will play a critical role in this six-figure role ensuring the stability, security, and optimal performance of our IT systems. You will also lead projects, mentor junior team members, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative IT solutions.

What you are doing as a Senior Network Systems Engineer:

• Network Design & Implementation: Design, configure, and deploy LAN, WAN infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points.


• Manage and maintain Windows Server environments, including Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, and file/print services.


• Oversee the deployment and management of virtualization technologies such as VMware, Hyper-V, or similar platforms.


• Implement and maintain security measures, including firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, and endpoint protection. Monitor and respond to security incidents.


• Design and maintain backup and disaster recovery solutions to ensure data integrity and system availability.


• Monitor system performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement improvements to enhance network and system efficiency.


• Lead the troubleshooting and resolution of complex network and system issues, providing escalated support when necessary.


• Lead and participate in IT infrastructure projects, including planning, execution, and documentation.


• Mentor and guide junior engineers and IT staff, providing technical expertise and fostering a collaborative learning environment.

• 7+ years of experience in network and systems engineering, with a focus on Windows environments.


• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).


• Relevant certifications such as MCSE, CCNA, VCP, or CISSP are highly desirable.


• Proficiency in Windows Server administration, including Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, etc.


• Strong knowledge of networking concepts, protocols, and technologies (TCP/IP, VLANs, VPNs, etc.).


• Experience with virtualization platforms such as VMware or Hyper-V.


• Solid understanding of network security principles and best practices.


• Experience with cloud platforms like Azure or AWS is a plus.
