Provides mid-level administrative and clerical support to the Food Service department, while maintaining individual production requirements, in support of the unit and agency mission. Updates and maintains records, files and in automated databases. Position provides support in keying daily duty rosters and generating overtime reports to provide to payroll department for further processing. Position is also responsible for additional duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Unit.

This is a wage position limited to working no more than 1,500 hours per agency during the 12-month period of May 1 April 30, regardless of the hire date. The wage employment period resets on May 1 of the following year. All wage employees are limited to working no more than 29 hours per week on average over the 12-month period. This wage position offers no state benefits.

Minimum Qualifications

Skilled in Microsoft Office with emphasis in Word and Excel (link removed) Ability to organize work, meet deadlines and complete tasks in a timely manner. Experience in strong communication and customer service. Administrative duties to include filing both automated and manual, working with budgets and some accounting skills. Experience with inventory or inventory management.

Additional Considerations

Advance Knowledge of State Procurement and Electronic Virginia (eVa). Demonstrated skill in inputting data into an automated database other than Microsoft Office.
