We are recruiting for a Project Engineer in our fast-paced work environment.


Project Management of multiple projects using APQP methodology.
Schedule and lead APQP meetings internally with cross functional teams.
Customer contact: Designer, Product Design Engineer, Mating Component(s) Engineer(s), Test Engineers, Engineering Supervisors.
Establish customer requirements/expectations: Interchangeability, service requirements, performance requirements, weight requirements, and homologation requirements.
Establish part parameters: Oscillation (kinematic requirements), road load (dynamic requirements), and orientation (static requirements).
Weight analysis - solid modeling (Catia, NX, or Inventor).
Stress analysis - classical/ FEA (Linear Static, Nonlinear, and Fatigue) (Catia, Autodesk Simulation Mechanical, or Inventor).
Develop 2 & 3D layout drawings for customer in appropriate customer CAD system (Catia NX)
Develop 3D solid models (Catia NX, or Inventor).
Develop 2D assembly drawings (Catia, NX, AutoCAD, or Inventor).
Develop 2D detail drawings (Catia NX, AutoCAD, or Inventor).
Tolerance stack-ups.
Specify materials.
Researching campaign able issues with customer as needed.
Resolve warranty related issues as needed.
Develop test specifications.
Develop DVP&R as required by customer.
Develop product DFMEAs.
Review product PFMEAs with Manufacturing Engineers.
Develop early sourcing agreement as required.
Develop project timelines/plans (Gantt Charts)
R&D as required.
Review and approve drawings.
Problem solving using 8D methodology.
Conduct Design of Experiments as required.
Review Customer Specific Requirements.
Considers customer specific requirements and expectations, strives for continuous improvement in areas of responsibility, and considers risk before acting on any decision.


REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (BSME) (or related field such as Automotive Engineering)

5 years experience, but open to new graduates and those with less than 5 years experience. Salary commensurate with experience
