Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Automation Tester to join our team in supporting the development and maintenance activities for a Drupal content management system (CMS) that powers a Federal Agency's intranet and public-facing websites.
Role Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain automated test scenarios using the Behat, WebDriverIO framework.
Execute automated test scripts and perform manual testing when necessary.
Triage defects and collaborate with Agile team members to document issues.
Provide testing support for releases and other maintenance activities, including SDLC and scheduling tasks.
Perform accessibility testing based on current WCAG standards.
Develop PHP backend code to extend existing Behat functionality.
Create and update design documents, test documents, and training materials as needed.
Conduct test script reviews with team members.
Draft and support deliverable submissions.
Innovate and enhance the automated testing framework.
Collaborate closely with other project team members in an Agile workflow.
Report regular status updates and escalate major decisions, issues, and risks to the appropriate team member.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience in Information Systems, Business, Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical discipline.
Minimum of three (3) years of general quality assurance and testing experience.
At least one (1) year of recent experience (within the past 1-2 years) testing Drupal 8.x, 9.x, or 10.x websites, including regression testing and quality assurance.
Experience developing automated test scenarios using Behat or a similar framework.
Familiarity with WCAG accessibility tools for screen readers, color contrast, etc.
Experience with CI/CD tools like GitLab, BitBucket, Jenkins, or similar.
At least one (1) year of experience with programming languages such as PHP, Python, Perl, .NET, Ruby, Java, or C#.
Ability to work independently and resolve issues effectively.
Experience working on cross-functional teams using an Agile methodology.
Preferred Qualifications:
Knowledge and experience with industry best practices.
Ability to achieve near-full test coverage through various types of testing, including functional, integration, regression, and performance testing.
Experience with JIRA and Confluence.
Fluency in Spanish is a plus.
