As such, experienced and qualified Plumbers/Pipefitters with demonstrated success in industrial/commercial construction are invited to apply! Jobs sites are in the Edmonton area and out-of town. Job Duties: Responsible for providing full cycle, in depth knowledge and support for pipefitting/steamfitting duties to ensure general and specific project requirements Study blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine the type of pipe and tools to use and lay out the sequence of tasks Measure, cut, thread, groove, bend, solder, assemble, and install metal, plastic, and fibreglass pipes, valves, and fittings Join pipe sections and related equipment and secure in position Use testing equipment to check systems for leaks Remove and replace worn components and do general maintenance work
Qualifications: Certified Red Seal Plumber / Pipefitter 10+ years of experience reading piping and instrumentation design diagrams Laying out and installing piping, tubing, fittings, and all related components. Installing, testing, and maintaining low- and high-pressure steam and condensate system Experience repairin piping systems that carry water, steam, chemicals and other process piping systems, including carbon steel and stainless steel Experience rigging, hoisting, lifting, and positioning equipment. Oil/Gas Industry experience The physical strength, stamina, manual dexterity, and mechanical aptitude required to perform Pipefitting duties The ability to read and understand complex instructions and drawings Able to lift items weighing over 25 kilograms Able to work in remote job locations Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test Strong understanding of safety procedures and policies on an industrial job site Aptitude foe safety - Strong communication skills
