As a Linux Administrator you will:
Support LANs, WANs, network segments, Internet, and intranet systems Ensure the design of the system allows all components to work properly together Make recommendations for future upgrades Maintain network and system security Troubleshoot problems reported by users and analyze and isolate issues Monitor networks to ensure security Evaluate and modify the systems performance Maintain network facilities in individual machines, such as drivers and settings of personal computers as well as printers Maintain the integrity of the network, server deployment, and security Ensure network connectivity throughout a companys LAN/WAN infrastructure is on par with technical considerations Design and deploy networks; maintain network servers such as file servers, and VPN gateways Perform network address assignment Assign routing protocols and routing table configuration Assign configuration of authentication and authorization of directory services Administer servers, laptop and desktop computers, printers, routers, switches, firewalls, phones, company mobile phones, smartphones, software deployment, security updates and patches
Qualifications:
A Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science or any other field Minimum 3 years of work experience managing core Linux system Experience in the software development process Ample knowledge and experience in system automation, deployment, networking and implementation Troubleshooting skills on Linux system for applications, services, networking, hardware Knowledge of handling distributed data systems. Required Tools and Technologies:
SaaS(or PaaS), Gitlab (or Github), Prometheus, Grafana, Python PostgreSQL, MySQL, or ArangoDB Firewall (iptables/nftables) fail2ban, Apache Nifi, Apache Webserver HAProxy, Tomcat, keycloak, GlusterFS, Btrfs, ZFS, LVM, RAID, Mediawiki and Wikibase, DNS, Redis and SSL-Keymanagement, sftp/ftps, and virtualization on bare metal servers Scrappy, self-hosted proxies, and Java applications
