JOB DESCRIPTION:
Manage the day-to-day business relationship with key suppliers through supporting activities including ordering, communication of demand/ volume/ delivery time changes, issue resolution, sharing of end-user feedback, follow up on backorders, etc. Follow up continuously on open Purchase Orders (POs), expedite POs within the lead-times, maintain open PO’s in SAP, ensure correct expected delivery dates. Monitors raw materials forecasts and usage of materials by working with demand planning and plant personnel when needed. Acts as liaison with suppliers in case of difficult supply situations or when the supply is interrupted. Working with stakeholders and suppliers to identify opportunities to enhance plant operations and improve competitive cost position. Will educate, train and influence stakeholders, suppliers and co-workers on Procurement Best Practice. Apply Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) best practices to manage supplier relationships to ensure continuity of goods and services that meet the quality, service and price performance standards of the company. Identifying, prioritizing and impacting key business opportunities. Works with other members of the Operations Leadership team to develop and implement Procure-to-Pay initiatives that reduce transaction cost and consolidate volume. Evaluate market conditions and develop strategic sourcing strategies to improve costs, reduce risk and ensure sustainable supply security. Work with Management to report and monitor process compliance.

REQUIREMENTS:

Certification on Planning and Inventory Management (CPIM) and working in supply chain planning and management.

Alternatively, employer will accept Bachelor’s in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or other related field plus 5 years of related experience. Required experience must include: working on reducing costs and increasing efficiency through inventory management, knowledge on material requirement planning (MRP), inventory and production planning, ERP systems, lead time management, and BW reporting.
