Identifies trends, discrepancies, andvariances to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of operations. May partnerwith other departments, divisions, outside agencies, and vendors to addressbusiness issues. Exercises various latitudes of independent judgment. Mayadminister or provide high-level support for various projects, grants, contracts,implementation of procedures, and/or any specialized functions. Assists withorientation, training, or providing task guidance of junior team members. Providesstrategic analysis. PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESPerform job responsibilities with minimal supervisionExtract primary data from Oracle Database with the use of SQLInterpret data, analyze results using statistical techniques and provide ongoingreportsProvide timely and accurate data to fulfill internal and external data requestsIdentify, compile, and clean data for research projectsIdentify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data setsOversee evaluation and research projectsCommunicate the evaluation plan and its details to leadership and stakeholdersCollaborate with external research partners to ensure understanding of data pointsand data setsDevelop and monitor internal and external data requestsManage, summarize, and analyze quantitative and/or qualitative dataSummarize and explain research findings and their implicationsPrepare findings for publicationDevelop, review, and abstract published researchProduce data visualization dashboards with Tableau MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSBachelor's degree in a related field from an accredited college or university ANDTwo years in a related lead or supervisory role OR Associate's degree in a relatedfield from an accredited college or university AND Four years of related experience,Two years of which in a related lead or supervisory role OR Two years of experienceat the lower level IT Business Analyst or position equivalent. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSStrong knowledge of and experience with reporting packages (Business Objectsetc), databases (SQL, Oracle, etc), programming (XML, Javascript, or ETLframeworks)Significant experience in accessing and extracting data from organizational and/orother institutional databasesStrong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminatesignificant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy2+ years of relevant work experience in the Criminal Justice field and/or DataManagement/AnalysisProficient skills in queries, report writing, and presenting findingsExperience in data visualization software (i.e., Tableau)
