Role Overview:
Are you a passionate Engineer seeking to contribute to meaningful projects and learn from experienced professionals? The Senior Sourcing Engineer will manage and execute projects within the Supply Chain/Purchasing department, focusing on supplier quality, new supplier development and qualification, ERP system enhancements, supply/demand modeling, logistics optimization, and overall supplier quality improvement.

*This role is typically suited for a Supply Chain Engineer or a Procurement Engineer, with a focus on sourcing and supplier management. It could also be relevant for a Manufacturing Engineer or an Industrial Engineer with expertise in supply chain and procurement processes.

What to Expect:
Lead projects within the purchasing department, including new supplier development, cost reduction, and process improvement.

Apply statistical knowledge to enhance manufacturing processes in the supply chain.

Source new and existing products, ensuring alignment with business demands.

Maintain accurate project schedules and communicate issues promptly to management.

Conduct cost-based comparative analysis (Make vs. Buy).

Evaluate supplier capabilities and manage inventory analysis & ERP processes.

Collaborate with product development to ensure seamless production integration.

Manage the Supplier Quality Issue Tracking system, resolving vendor-related issues.

Identify and correct discrepancies in product specifications with vendors.

The Senior Sourcing Engineer must be willing to join our team in Washington County, AR.

This role is pivotal in managing and executing supply chain projects, focusing on supplier quality, new supplier development, ERP improvements, and logistics optimization.

We value well-tenured candidates who have held at most 2 jobs in the past 5 years.

Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field (REQUIRED), (Masters degree a plus).

5+ years of relevant experience in materials and services acquisition.

Experience with steel, aluminum, or plastics manufacturing processes.

Proven problem-solving and project management skills in operations, manufacturing, or supply chain.

ERP/MRP system experience is a plus.

Strong proficiency in spreadsheets and databases.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Ability to interact with suppliers and internal teams across various departments.

* Proficiency in Mandarin language REQUIRED as suppliers/vendors are international!
