Furniture Sales Associate

Copeland Furniture, a renowned maker of high-quality, handcrafted wood furniture in Bradford, Vermont, seeks a passionate Sales Associate to join our Factory Outlet team. With over 40 years of commitment to sustainability and craftsmanship, we pride ourselves on offering timeless designs.

The Factory Outlet, operating for over 25 years, showcases first- and second-quality furniture, including select upholstery and mattress lines. We serve customers across Northern New England and beyond, offering discounted prices on items that don't meet our first-quality standards.

As a Sales Associate, you'll play a key role in building relationships with potential customers, providing product information, and assisting with purchasing decisions. You'll also support the Outlet Manager with daily operations, including pricing and signage.

Our Ideal Candidate:
Exceptional Customer Service and Interpersonal skills, including verbal communication in-person and over the phone with a friendly, customer-centric demeanor
Excellent written communication using Microsoft Outlook
Familiar with other Microsoft Office applications
Sales experience is valuable but not required
Willingness to learn inventory management and other day-to-day tasks
Self-motivated, organized, and capable of working independently and is a supportive team player
Very dependable with excellent attendance
Ability to work scheduled hours, including Saturdays and some holidays

Key Responsibilities:
Product Knowledge: Develop a comprehensive understanding of Copeland Furniture's product catalog, materials, craftsmanship, finishes, and design aesthetics to convey their value effectively.
Customer Relations and Experience in person, over the phone, and by email: Actively engage with potential customers to explain available options, finishes, and design choices to assist them with tailoring furniture orders to their preferences. Initiate and maintain communication, building and nurturing strong and lasting relationships by providing exceptional service, addressing inquiries promptly, and offering personalized solutions.
Team Collaboration: Collaborate with internal teams to coordinate order processing, shipping, and customer support, ensuring a smooth customer experience.
