We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Quality Inspector to join our team on a 3-month contract. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where quality and precision are our top priorities.

Job Description:
As a Quality Inspector, you will be responsible for performing inspections throughout all phases of our manufacturing process to ensure that our products meet strict quality standards. This role involves conducting first-piece and final inspections, sampling inspections, and hardness testing, among other duties. You will work closely with our Engineering and Production teams to address any quality-related issues and ensure product conformity to drawings and specifications.

Key Responsibilities:
Conduct first-piece, in-process, and final inspections on all products, ensuring conformity to product drawings.
Perform percentage sampling inspections and document first-piece dimensional checks.
Utilize inspection tools such as gages, templates, micrometers, and tapes.
Conduct and document Rockwell and Brinell hardness testing on quenched springs and other products.
Inspect return shipments to verify quality and quantity.
Identify products without proper tagging and assist in correcting these issues.
Categorize products as acceptable, rework, or scrap based on inspection findings.
Perform special inspections on new product prototypes as requested by the Quality Manager.
Participate in Lean Activities and other special projects as needed.
Review and suggest updates to control plans and procedures.
Qualifications:
Education: High School Diploma or GED required.
Experience: Six months to one year of experience in a similar role preferred. Heat Treat experience is a plus.
Ability to use inspection tools such as gages, micrometers, and hardness testers.
Strong understanding of quality control processes and product drawings.
Ability to work in environments with extreme heat and cold.
Physical ability to regularly lift and move up to 80 pounds.
Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to follow written and oral instructions.
