Job Tile: Drywall Installer 

Job Type: Full-time, permanent  

Vacancy: 2 positions are available 

Wage Rate and hours: $27 per hour, 40 hours per week 

Start date: as soon as possible 

Job Location: various locations across Winnipeg, MB

Job requirements: 

Language: English 

Education: Completion of secondary school is required 

Experience: 7-12 months relevant experience or 1-2 years apprenticeship program is required 

Job duties: 

Smooth out excess compound and allow coat to dry 

Apply successive coast of compound and sand seams and joints  

Position and secure sheets to metal or wooden studs or joists 

To protect exterior corners, cut and install metal corner beads 

Use trowel and broad knife to fill joints, nail indentations, holes, and cracks with joint compound 

Use tape machine to tape over joint and embed tape in compound  

Fabricate and install suspended metal ceiling grids and place in panels to form acoustical and coffered ceilings 

Measure, cut, fit, and install drywall sheets as required.
