We are looking for an experienced, SME-level ServiceNow developer with Agile project management expertise.
Job Description:
Our office environment is fast-paced and requires specialized skills in cloud-based IT management, workflow automation, IT project management, innovative software development, and integration of Commercial-Off-The-Shelf (COTS)/Government Off-the-Shelf (GOTS) based applications.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and modify software systems using ServiceNow, including Service Portal, Service Catalog, Widget development, Record Producers, Scripting in the Portal space and UI16, Flow Designer, UI Policy, Client Script, UI Actions, Script Includes, and importing data sources.
Document and track vendor software roadmaps for software and patch version updates.
Unit test software and perform code reviews.
Integrate commercial software into cloud environments such as AWS, Azure, and Google.
Coordinate and collaborate across security, operations, testing, and other teams.
Create, manage, and update work tickets.
Ensure applications and services are running up-to-date software versions.
Provide weekly status updates regarding schedule deliverables, risks, and dependencies.
Follow change and configuration management processes and tools.
Manage the progress of COTS product integration and development efforts.
Comply with existing programmatic methodologies.
Coordinate IT program management activities, including scheduling meetings and preparing briefings and presentations.
Create, maintain, and brief Project Management Review (PMR) slides for projects.
Mandatory Qualifications:
1. Demonstrated recent experience with managing and delivering using an Agile methodology.
2. Demonstrated experience leading an agile development team, including generating sprint plans.
3. Demonstrated experience in technical project management with full lifecycle software development.
4. Demonstrated experience meeting schedule and delivery commitments within budget.
5. Demonstrated experience in strategically assessing requirements to ensure processes and systems align with emerging technology.
6. Demonstrated experience using Jira for managing backlogs, portfolios, products, and sprints.
7. Demonstrated experience monitoring the progress of multiple concurrent and highly visible projects and requirements.
8. Demonstrated experience recommending or taking required corrective actions.
9. Demonstrated experience with risk identification, management, and mitigation.
10. Demonstrated experience tailoring complex technical ideas and concepts to be communicated to a range of audiences in briefings and reports.
11. Demonstrated experience working with a reporting system for notifying system status and seeking approval for deployment to production.
12. Demonstrated experience developing detailed design and associated deliverables.
13. Demonstrated experience documenting existing processes and mapping them to new process requirements.
14. Demonstrated experience translating customer and system requirements into design.
15. Demonstrated experience designing system interfaces.
16. Demonstrated experience designing and implementing backend services.
17. Demonstrated experience developing with AngularJS, Java, JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, SQL, Bootstrap, and ActionScript.
18. Demonstrated experience providing platform training in ServiceNow, Flow Designer, and Automated Test Framework.
19. Demonstrated hands-on experience with troubleshooting Internet and Web-related protocols and technologies such as Tomcat, Node.js, Web Services, or SSL.
