Job Title: CNC Operator
Location: Dayton, Nevada
Salary: $20-25/hour

Job Summary of the CNC Operator: The CNC Operator will reviews blueprints and work instructions to produce accurate work product that meets quality standards, safety requirements and allotted run times while also meeting efficiency and productivity goals of the department while generating minimal waste and maintain a clean and organized work area at all times.

Job Responsibilities of the CNC Operator:
• Responsible for familiarization with the complete scope and proposed method of design for all assigned projects.
• Review blueprints, work instructions, and the production schedule to achieve product specifications and allotted run times.
• Accurately record work in process, job details, labor, and attendance information utilizing ERP and other designated computer systems.
• Remain on task, work efficiently, produce work with minimal waste, and complete work according to budgeted labor hours.
• Select proper equipment and materials, verify integrity, and maintain specifications through work process observation, making corrective adjustments as necessary.
• Proper usage of gauges, hand tools and precision measurement tools to perform product validation and inspection to ensure quality conformity.
• Report internal and external mistakes or issues that negatively impact operations.
• Seek opportunities to increase overall efficiency, reduce job costing and run times.
• Perform regular monitoring and service checks on tools and equipment.
• Maintain a tidy work area and clean equipment.
• Work independently or collaborate with machine shop, engineering, and other employees - when necessary or requested - to complete orders.
Education & Experience of the CNC Operator:
• High school diploma or equivalent is required. Associates degree in CNC Machining, Tool & Die Making, or a related field preferred.
• Minimum of six (6) months combined experience and education in a manufacturing environment required.
• Experience as a CNC Operator (Mills & Lathes) or Multi-Axis CNC Operator.
• Comprehensive mathematic and problem solving ability is necessary to operate equipment and trouble shoot errors.
• Must be able to interpret and follow written and verbal instructions and utilize precision measurement tools and gauges.
• Ability to work well in a team or individual setting is required.
• Superior attention to detail and strong mechanical aptitude are crucial to produce quality work and operate necessary machinery and equipment.
