An intriguing entry-level role, the Cruise Specialist brings vacation dreams to life by acting as the primary liaison for Cruise Line guests. They connect with clients via telephone, receive incoming calls, identify their requirements, and recommend products aligning with their holiday plans. The Cruise Specialist excels in these duties by delivering exceptional customer service, leveraging their telephone communication abilities, and inputting data into the reservation system.
Responsibilities of the Position:
1. Handle and process individual reservation requests, whether from travel agents or direct guests, to ensure a positive customer experience. 2. Elevate concerns and relevant issues to the appropriate channels for swift resolution. 3. Collaborate with specific support departments within the organization as needed. 4. Strive to maximize revenue opportunities by confirming space, suggesting stateroom upgrades, conveying vacation value, highlighting ship features, and proposing air and land packages, in addition to various supplementary products. 5. Implement desired behaviors to address any areas for improvement identified through quality-related evaluations. 6. Comply with all relevant departmental attendance, phone adherence, and conformance expectations, as instructed during new hire training and by the Supervisor. 7. Fulfill other job-related tasks as assigned.
Qualifications:
- 0-2 years of experience in a call center, sales, or a related field in the travel industry. - Familiarity with reservation systems in a call center environment is advantageous but not obligatory.
