NEW Full Time Opportunity to work in the beautiful city of Regina

Compensation: $85 to $125 per hour based on experience.

Term: ASAP to March 31, 2026 – Full Time 5 day / 40hr Work Week (0800-1700)

 

We are a Saskatchewan-based consulting company with a 20-year record of consulting in the Health Information Management space.

Our contracts have included projects for national level health information projects in the United States funded by HHS (Health and Human Services) and national projects in Canada through Canada Health Infoway.

We have also contracted with provincial ministries and health agencies in Ontario, Manitoba, Saskatchewan, Alberta and British Columbia over the past 20 years. In addition, we have experience in projects for First Nations and private companies in the health sector.

We are looking for consultants to fill the Health Senior Project Manager Role.

 

Role Overview:

We are looking for a Senior Project Manager to work with the Ministry of Health in manage the Provincial Digital and Virtual Health Care Strategy Project on behalf of the Ministry.

The position will be located at the Ministry of Health office in Regina, Saskatchewan.

The Ministry is leading an initiative in collaboration with health system partners to develop a provincial Digital and Virtual Health Care Strategy for the health system. The ministry released an RFP for development of the strategy and associated deliverables and it is projected that the project will begin by October 2024.

Reporting to the Ministry’s Project Director, the Senior Project Manager will play the role of the client Project Manager and will work closely with the successful vendor.

The Digital and Virtual Health Care Strategy will focus on the transformation of health care services using digital information, data, and technology. It will contain a 3-5-year roadmap of prioritized initiatives that will each require planning, assessment, and business cases to secure funding. Due to the rapid expansion of digital supports in health-care systems across the world, using digital strategies to support the delivery of health care is paramount.

The project is currently looking for one Senior Project Manager who also brings extensive experience in Business Analysis. The individual will be assigned tasks and responsibilities including, but not limited to the duties outlined below.

 

Duties Include:

  • Project management on behalf of the Ministry
  • Work collaboratively with the vendor project team
  • Develop project documents and plans
  • Facilitation of project meetings such as governance, steering, working group, etc.
  • Project status reporting
  • Develop timelines for project milestones
  • Monitor and ensure the project budget is on track
  • Work closely with Ministry, eHealth, and Health system partners to gather and understand requirements for major initiatives
  • Planning and assessment of the next year’s major initiatives
  • Writing business cases and presentations for budget development
  • Some provincial travel may be required

 

Qualifications:

  • Project Management designation or equivalent experience
  • Business Analysis certification or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years experience in project management
  • Solid understanding of the project management methodologies
  • Organizational Change Management qualifications (e.g. PROSCI)
  • Experience at a senior level on at least one large complex project that involved implementing major transformational changes to staff, business systems, and processes
  • Strong interpersonal skills with experience working, influencing, and communicating effectively (both verbal and written) with all levels within a large complex organization
  • Strong facilitation skills with experience effectively facilitating large workshops, gathering requirements, and presenting findings
  • Excellent writing skills with experience drafting business cases, reports, plans, and proposals
  • Strong ability to seamlessly translate between the business/stakeholder groups and the technical/IT groups

Deliverables:

The successful candidates will be responsible for working on planning, and analysis of various data resources used by the ministry and health system partners.
