NEW Full Time Opportunity to work in the beautiful city of Regina

Compensation: $100/hr - $135/hr          

Term: ASAP to March 31, 2026 – Full Time 5 day / 40hr Work Week

 

We are a Saskatchewan-based consulting company with a 20-year record of consulting in the Health Information Management space.

Our contracts have included projects for national level health information projects in the United States funded by HHS (Health and Human Services) and national projects in Canada through Canada Health Infoway.

We have also contracted with provincial ministries and health agencies in Ontario, Manitoba, Saskatchewan, Alberta, and British Columbia over the past 20 years. In addition, we have experience in projects for First Nations and private companies in the health sector.

We are looking for consultants to fill a Health Business Architect role.

 

Role Overview:

The consultant Business Architect will work with the Saskatchewan Ministry of Health in Regina, Saskatchewan to assist and support the Health Informatics Branch (HIB). HIB provides direction in information management and technology, and the use of data to support the health system strategic priorities.

The Ministry is about to embark on an initiative to develop a Provincial Digital and Virtual Health Care Strategy in the 2024-25 fiscal year in which data and analytics is a foundational component.

Reporting to the HIB branch, the Business Architect will support and contribute to the assessment, planning and design of a reliable and high performing digital and data architecture that enables and supports the health system’s strategic direction.

This role will work closely with Ministry branches, eHealth, health system partners, and other stakeholders.

We are currently looking for a Technical Business Architect for this position. This position will be a blend of a senior business analyst and a technical solutions architect/system analyst. The individual will be assigned tasks and responsibilities including, but not limited to the duties outlined below.

 

Requirements:

  • Develop digital and data strategic architectures
  • Consult on digital and data initiatives that will impact business strategy
  • Work closely with health system and IT partners to create and refine business, digital, and data architectural strategy
  • Assess and document current state digital and data landscape across the health system
  • Develop digital and data roadmaps that reflect the evolution of the industry and alignment with health system strategic priorities
  • Key contributor to the health system multiyear strategic planning process to ensure that digital and data strategies are aligned with business
  • Ensures compliance to technology decisions and directions
  • Be aware of the latest digital and data technologies, trends and directions to ensure technology is current and best fits the health system’s requirements
  • Some in-province travel may be expected

 

Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of business analysis principles, processes, and tools/techniques
  • Best practice framework approaches intended to facilitate the delivery of high-quality information technology
  • Certification or related experience with The Open Group Architectural Framework (TOGAF)
  • 10+ years of cross discipline experience, including IT, data, and business analysis
  • Experience establishing and maintaining artifacts such as: technology strategies, technology roadmaps, architecture models, standards, patterns, etc.
  • Experience at a senior level on at least one large complex project that involved implementing major transformational changes to staff, business systems, and processes
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Experience working, influencing, and communicating effectively (both verbal and written) with all levels within a large complex organization
  • Strong facilitation skills with experience effectively facilitating large workshops, gathering requirements, and presenting findings
  • Excellent writing skills with experience drafting business cases, roadmaps, reports, plans, and proposals
  • Strong ability to seamlessly translate between the business/stakeholder groups and the technical/IT groups
  • Familiarity with digital and data tools and technologies

 

Deliverables:

  • The successful candidates will be responsible for working on, planning, and analysis of various data resources used by the ministry and health system partners.
