Computer Administrator (Part-time)
Place of Performance: Mountain Home AFB, ID

General Description:
Tasks encompass hardware and software system administration, implementation of new systems (software/hardware), establishment of procedures to safeguard all critical data, and performance and tracking of routine preventive maintenance on equipment associated with the QOLNET system.

Specific Tasks:
Provide hardware and software system administration on all QOLNET servers, satellite receivers, switches, routers, printers, and other peripherals critical for proper function of all equipment associated with QOLNET system at Mt Home AFB.
Implement any new systems (software/hardware) as required by the M&FRC Flight Chief or Team Lead. Set up new computers and other information systems in a timely manner to support the Military & Family Readiness Center (M&FRC), computer lab, and all classroom computers associated with and intergraded into the QOLNET system. Provide all networking architecture recommendations and networking support to improve QOLNET network if applicable.
Establish procedures for safe guarding all critical data. Design back-up methodology to guarantee uninterrupted M&FRC service to customers.
Provide recommendations to M&FRC designee for future planning and improvements to existing information QOLNET systems structure.
Assist M&FRC designee in research and purchase of all information systems and components required to improve existing QOLNET structure.
Provide for proper information security on all QOLNET systems.
Assist M&FRC designee with maintaining an equipment/computer QOLNET inventory list.
Maintain continuity book / Operating Instructions on all primary duties, tasking, procedures outlined in the performance work statement and provide a copy to M&FRC designee for review at least monthly.
Perform and track routine preventive maintenance on related equipment associated with the QOLNET system. (I.E. Replacement of projector bulbs, cleaning of filters).

Experience/Knowledge:
A minimum of 2-5 years experience in both hardware and software application support for small computers and servers.
Must be able to install and operate multimedia software using stand-alone or networked computers.
Must be able to troubleshoot software problems.
Must have experience in training management and computer analysis.
Knowledge of experience with Air Force computer/network security regulations is mandatory.
Knowledge of Air Force Training concepts and methods is preferred.
Knowledge of Air Technology Network (ATN) equipment for use in Satellite training sessions is preferred.
Excellent customer service skills and verbal communication skills are essential.
Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English fluently.

Certification:
Must have a current Comp TIA Security + Certification.
