We are looking for a hands-on and self-motivated Maintenance Technician/Mechanic at our yard in La Salle, MB.

The Maintenance Technician/Mechanic will be performing preventative and regular maintenance and troubleshooting machinery as required to reduce equipment downtime. This role will also include working directly with our Production Manager and team to ensure smooth daily operations in our production facility.

Our ideal candidate is open-minded, flexible, eager to continue their career on the tools, and is a strong planner that has the ability to oversee multiple projects in various locations.

Responsibilities:

• Proactively document preventative maintenance (PMs)
• Troubleshoot and repair irregularities and malfunctions
• Oversee routine maintenance and workplace safety
• Manage installations and projects from start to completion
• Learn and be open-minded to new equipment

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of preventative and regular maintenance in a manufacturing environment or equivalent mechanical experience
• 1+ years of experience in pneumatics, hydraulics, and VFD operations
• 1+ years experience of handling installations from start to finish on projects
• 1+ years of welding experience
• Proficiency in electronic systems, use of computers, and various software
• Ability to travel to other locations to assist in installation projects and maintenance
• Red Seal Certification as a Millwright is not required; certifications are not a requirement
• Strong mechanical and problem-solving aptitude
• Valid driver's license
• Heavy Equipment Operator license (forklift, loader, skid steer)
