Salary: $30/HR
Job Summary: The Finish Carpenter will be responsible for performing a wide range of carpentry tasks focused on the finishing touches of residential remodeling projects. This role requires precision and attention to detail, and a strong understanding of both traditional and modern carpentry techniques to ensure high-quality results that enhance the aesthetic and functional aspects of residential spaces.
Key Responsibilities: - Install and finish woodwork, including trim, moldings, cabinetry, doors, and windows. - Measure, cut, and shape wood components with accuracy using various hand and power tools. - Assemble and install custom cabinetry, shelving, and other built-in features. - Apply finishes such as paint, stain, and sealant to wood surfaces to achieve desired aesthetics. - Collaborate with designers, contractors, and homeowners to ensure work aligns with project specifications and design plans. - Inspect work for quality, making adjustments and repairs as needed to meet high standards. - Prepare surfaces for finishing, including sanding, priming, and sealing. - Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, and building plans to determine precise measurements and layout. - Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety guidelines and best practices. - Communicate effectively with clients and team members to address any issues or changes in project scope.
Qualifications: - Proven experience as a Finish Carpenter or in a similar role within residential home improvement and remodeling. - Expertise in installing and finishing woodwork, trim, and cabinetry. - Strong knowledge of carpentry techniques, tools, and materials. - Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings. - Excellent attention to detail and craftsmanship. - Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team. - Physical stamina and strength to perform carpentry tasks effectively. - High school diploma or equivalent; formal carpentry training or certification is a plus.
Physical Requirements: - Ability to lift and carry heavy materials and equipment. - Capability to work in various environments, including confined spaces and at heights. - Manual dexterity and good hand-eye coordination.
