Job Description - IT SUPPORT SPECIALISTLocation: Hagerstown, MD Work Hours: 7am to 3pm, M-F Duration: 6+ months Core Responsibilities Support critical production applications and infrastructure solutions Execute time-critical support of industrial IT solutions Collaborate with global support technicians in troubleshooting and resolving infrastructure and end-user problems, in addition to using all available resources such as personal skills, vendor documentation, and online knowledge bases Use delegated authority from global operations teams to manage local infrastructure solutions Proficient in general network design and troubleshooting from a connected device perspectiveRequired Competencies Broad IT background including software and hardware support such as PC, laptops, smartphones, laser, thermal printers and bar code scanners Has ability to work in a fast paced environment which requires high level of sense of urgency Work patiently with end-users who are frustrated and need issues to be resolved quickly or helpful guidance with using the solutions ITIL Foundation Certified Problem Solving / root cause analysis skills Linux Ubuntu Windows 7 and 10 Cisco Network Troubleshooting Problem Solving Manufacturing and business applications supportDesirable Competences: Raspberry Pi ThingWorx Six Sigma
