Project Details:Role:Software Developer Applications (Senior)Location:Hillcrest Heights, MD (Hybrid)Duration:6+ months/longtermType:ContractInterview Criteria: Telephonic + Skype Job Description: Overview: The Senior Software Developer Applications will be responsible for developing system designs, technical documentation, and maintaining or developing software systems and components based on requirements and system designs. This role requires expertise in Java, PostgreSQL, and similar languages, participation in code reviews, and ensuring that system requirements are met through formal walkthroughs. Responsibilities: Develop system designs and technical documentation as required. Maintain and develop software systems and components based on requirements and system designs using Java, PostgreSQL, and similar languages. Participate in code reviews and formal walkthroughs of systems and system components to ensure requirements are met. Analyze functional business applications and design specifications for areas such as finance, accounting, personnel, manpower, logistics, and contracts. Develop block diagrams and logic flow charts to translate detailed designs into computer software. Test, debug, and refine computer software to produce the required product. Apply knowledge of programming techniques and computer internet systems. Prepare required documentation, including program-level and user-level documentation. Enhance software to reduce operating time or improve efficiency. Provide technical direction to programmers to ensure program deadlines are met. Experience in system design, including application programming on large-scale DBMS and the development of complex software to satisfy design objectives. Familiarity with a variety of field concepts, practices, and procedures. Requirements: Education: Bachelors Degree in the field or a related area. Experience: Minimum 8 years of experience in software development, system design, and application programming. Skills: Proficiency in Java, PostgreSQL, and similar languages. Strong understanding of system design and technical documentation. Experience in developing block diagrams and logic flow charts. Ability to test, debug, and refine computer software. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong communication and technical writing skills. Ability to provide technical direction to programming teams. Certifications: Relevant certifications in software development or related areas are desirable.
