Heavy Diesel Mechanic with AZ License

Position Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Heavy Diesel Mechanic with an AZ/DZ license to be the custodian of our heavy diesel fleet primarily focusing on annual safeties. This full-time position features seasonal peaks and valleys, providing opportunities to explore various aspects of our agricultural business. The role focuses on fleet maintenance with opportunities for driving during slower maintenance periods, and the successful candidate will report to the Location Manager of Alliston.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain and repair a fleet of heavy diesel vehicles, ensuring they are in optimal working condition
• Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues
• Maintain accurate maintenance records
• Seasonal delivery of fertilizer to farm customers
• Report and handle maintenance issues of fleet vehicles
• Must complete safety training upon hire

Qualifications:

• Certified Heavy Diesel Mechanic
• Valid AZ/DZ driver's license with a clean driver abstract
• Extensive experience with heavy diesel vehicle maintenance and repair
• High School Diploma or GED
• Comfortable driving standard (manual) transmission
• Able to lift and carry at least 50 lbs regularly

Working Conditions:

• Work outdoors, including in inclement weather, heat, humidity, and exposure to dust
• Overtime required as necessary, particularly during peak season
• 40-60 hours per week expected

Schedule:

• Day shift
• Monday to Friday
• Weekend and overtime during peak season as required
