Senior Research Scientist

Full Time.  Requires Master’s degree (or foreign equivalent degree) in Computer Science or a closely related technical degree with 1 year of experience in the job offered, as a Research Scientist, Research Analyst, Cybersecurity Analyst or a related occupation. Must have skills in Medical Device Testing/Analysis, Reverse Engineering of Embedded Systems, Intellectual Property analysis, Cryptographic System Design and Testing. Occasional travel (10-20%) will be required to unanticipated client sites throughout the U.S.

Perform source code analysis to determine code quality, code security, and/or identifying a violation of intellectual property rights. Perform penetration testing and firmware security analysis, as part of Cybersecurity Threat Assessments, to determine security vulnerabilities. Conduct research, patent analysis/infringement and validity analysis and medical device security analysis to formulate positions and arguments that could be used in litigation. Write client reports detailing the results of Harbor Experts testing, experimentation, and analysis.
