Title : Application Developer- Axway API Location : Remote Duration : 12+ Months Job Description: Primary - Axway API gatway (Vordel), Web services, JSON, SOAP/REST API Secondary - Java, Spring, SQL, Microservices We seek a skilled Axway API Gateway Engineer to manage and optimize our enterprise API Gateway systems. The successful candidate will be responsible for configuring and managing the day-to-day operations of the Axway API Gateways, monitoring the gateway performance, and troubleshooting any issues that arise with the application teams. Key Responsibilities: Configure and manage day-to-day operations of the enterprise Axway API Gateway systems Monitor the gateway performance and troubleshoot issues with application teams Upgrade the system website and self-service tools as needed Deploy and upgrade the Axway API Gateway as needed Perform system planning, installation and upgrades across our multi-region environment Work directly with client and application teams to provide gateway services support Enforce gateway security policies Aid and educate web service developers on use of authentication mechanisms and use of xml gateway Configure and manage Axway API Gateway system over Cloud infrastructure 4+ years of experience in Axway Amplify API Management, Java/J2EE technology stack, including web services, with hands-on experience in designing, developing, and administering enterprise solutions. API development using the Axway platform. Must have expertise in APIs, API Management products - Axway and APIGEE (excellent to have Experience with Axway API Gateway and Axway API Manager versions 7.x, preferably with the latest version, Configuration of endpoint policies and workflows Good awareness and practical experience with configuring different authentication mechanisms (e.g., OAuth) Hands-on experience with RESTful Web Services Experience in prod issues troubleshooting and analysis, e.g., using Gateway logging and monitoring capabilities Nice to have: Experience with common Unix/Linux utilities, diagnostics, and monitoring tools Excellent communication skills - verbal and written, for technical and non-technical audiences Excellent analytical and documentation skills Quick learning and adaptive to new technical fields Experience with system configuration, troubleshooting and maintenance Experience in Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) concepts and Web Services
