Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled Temporary OSP Fiber Construction Technician to join our team in Jacksonville, FL. The ideal candidate will have experience in outside plant (OSP) fiber construction, including Fiber to the Home (FTTH) installations, splicing, and general fiber optic installation and maintenance. 2+ years of experience.

Responsibilities:
- Perform OSP fiber construction activities, including trenching, conduit installation, and pole mounting.
- Conduct Fiber to the Home (FTTH) installations, ensuring high-quality service delivery to customers.
- Splice fiber optic cables, ensuring minimal signal loss and optimal performance.
- Install fiber optic cables, connectors, and related hardware.
- Troubleshoot and repair fiber optic networks as needed.
- Maintain detailed records of installation, maintenance, and repair activities.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company standards.

Examples of Work:
- Repair/install POTS services
- Repair/install U-Verse services
- Replace aerial service drops copper/fiber
- Repair/resplice copper cables from 25 pairs to 2400 pairs
- Repair/resplice fiber cables from 12 strand to 124 strand
- Replace customers SNI/NID copper or fiber
- Understand and work within:
- Copper SAI
- Copper Pedestals
- Copper sub boxes
- Copper Waffle Cases
- Fiber PFP
- Fiber CFST – Aerial or Buried

Requirements:
- Proven experience as an outside plant technician with a focus on fiber construction.
- Proficiency in Fiber to the Home (FTTH) installations.
- Skilled in fiber splicing and the use of related tools and equipment.
- Strong understanding of fiber optic installation and maintenance practices.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
